  1. What does Saddam's capture mean for the future of Iraq? How will the capture affect the insurgency in Iraq? Will Saddam shed light on the WMD question? Can Saddam receive a fair trial? Under which laws should Saddam be tried? His old ones? What about a defense attorney? Will he be sentenced to death? Should he be sentenced to death? If he's sentenced to prison, where? And for how long? Will a trial reveal the embarrassing fact that the US government once supported Saddam? Does that matter? What do you make of the Christian images that were found at Saddam's hideout?
  2. What are your views on Christmas (and the other winter holidays)? Have they become too religious, too secular, too materialistic, too commercialized, or something else? Is there anything during the holidays that offends you?
  3. Microsoft said on Friday, December 12th, that its latest version of Office software inadvertently contained a font featuring two swastikas, and said it would offer tools to remove and replace the offending characters from the program. Quote of the week: "The Americans promised freedom and prosperity; what's this? Go up to their headquarters, at one of those checkpoints where they point their guns at you, and tell them that you hate them as much as Saddam, and see what they do to you....The only difference is that Saddam would kill you in private, where the Americans will kill you in public.....A lot of things -- safety, freedom, prosperity -- that we were supposed to have are gone. They promised many things, and now that they have caught Saddam maybe they kept one." [Mohammad Saleh, 39, an Iraqi building contractor - Source]
